Magical Bolero.

I felt the need to make special mention of my gorgeous wedding bolero which I bought off a very talented woman. The bolero was hand felted and made to order, it was just the thing I was looking for. Magical laboratory of fashion is a store on Etsy.  I also found my daughters dresses on Etsy made by another crafty woman, Best Little Dress is the name of her store. The dresses were custom made, and perfect. Lastly I would like to mention the ribbon wands the girls had for our wedding which I found on madeit at Pinwheels and Pearls , my girls are still enjoying these!

Scrappy Chevron Blanket.

I finished my scrappy chevron blanket this afternoon, so the yarn is all bits of this and that and I am really happy with the result. This is a great throw rug and really brings a splash of colour to the place. The pattern is a free rav download , loveit!

Happily ever after.

After nearly 13 years together, 4 children, 3 houses and too many cars to count we decided to officially say I do. Hence, the special family holiday!

Family Holiday.

We took the girls back up the Gold coast last week, this was a bit of a special family holiday, more about that later. We visited Dreamworld and Currumbin wildlife park this time. This is the first holiday I have had in nearly a year, and it was well overdue. I still have another week off to enjoy some time out at home. I have really been struggling with stress lately, mostly work related so some well deserved crafting time is in order I think!
I have to finish a counted cross stitch, my FLS (I know longest ever wip), Jay's socks and I  need to get started on a skirt for Laura. I have done really well with stash busting this year and have even just about finished a blanket with a heap of bits and pieces of yarn gifted to me by a friend at work.

My youngest is 5!

From this gorgeous sweet newborn babe

To this fun loving 5 year old girl! I can't believe how the time has flown and how much our world has changed since her arrival, and what a better world it has been. Scarlett planned a picnic and a swim for her birthday at the bay which she calls crab beach and she was going rain, hail or shine! (it was overcast and breezy and only those of us aged under 10 braved the water). Oh and dear sweet 5 year old managed to change the date on the camera and put the date stamp on! Bless!

And in her birthday stash a mummy made knit an eden dress, pattern by the fabulous Tikki and yarn from Evoke, both on ravelry.

A little more mohair.

I made josie a one row lace scarf with some more of the gifted mohair from my friend, this was much nicer to work with!
And a red one for Scarlett which I crocheted
I have cast on a dress for Scarlett who will be 5 next month, still have Jay's socks and my FLS to complete. I have also wound and prepared to cast on a blanket.

Mohair mania.

I made Imogen the Jo Sharp Mohair scarf with some mohair I received from a lovely friend at work, knitting with mohair wasn't my favourite I have to say, but Immy loves her fluffy pink scarf.

I decided after the knitting with mohair being a bit of a chore to crochet Laura a scarf with it instead, good choice I think. So it has been a little bit of mohair mania here!

I finished of the Friday night knitting club and have moved on to knit two which I found in my local op shop for $2, gotta love op shopping. I have to say it has left me wishing I had a local knitting group to be part of.

More Mitts.

Another pair of mitts for the winter months. I used the Noro fingerless mitss pattern from Rav, however, I didn't use Noro, just some yarn that was gifted to me from a friend at work. I have been working my way through all the bits and pieces in my stash.
I have picked up my FLS and Jays socks again too this week, its heavy rain here, perfect for some crafty goodness!

Berry Hill fingerless mittens.

My beautiful eldest daughter has been asking for some fingerless mittens for a while, I made her Berry Hill fingerless mittens with some leftover orange Rowan, they are very squishy and will keep her wrists nice and warm and still let her draw.

And the last of the baby gifts, for a small while anyway another ulli baby beanie. I now have 3 other little girls wanting some mitts, so off to raid my stash which I am proud to say is getting smaller in time for some winter yarn shopping!

Both of my midwife friends have birthed there babies, both have had baby girls, it is such a special, precious time. I have managed finishing a few more items for them and have just one last ulli hat to finish before I drop off their parcels.

Tiny Blossom made with wool silk, super soft
and sweet little wrap around dress.

Yet another pair of bell bottoms!

And another spare ribs shoaker.

All the patterns are on Ravelry.

Adam and Eve Tikki style.

I have been making more gifts for some friends expecting babies very soon. I have used the fabulous Eden patterns from Tikki. I absolutely love the patterns, I love seamless knitting and its also nice to know that there is no seam rubbing and leaving marks on the babies! Its win win I think. I have used some Evoke yarn for the dress and some Jolly Jumbuck for the top.

Noro not quite straight scarf.

Another Noro scarf to add to my collection, a girl can never have too much Noro!

Petite felted bag.

Another little bag finished, this one is for my SIL, a little late for her February birthday! I was supposed to finish my FLS and Jay's socks but the yummy Noro sitting in my stash got the better of me and I am halfway through another scarf to add to my collection. I finally finished the Millenium trilogy too!

Finally felted.

I have had this finished in my knitting basket for awhile, finally got around to felting it! I have another little bag felting in the washing machine as I type. I am working through my UFO's, in the works I have a pair of socks for Jay, my FLS and a dishcloth, not bad I think. I have lots of stash busting ahead too. Another friend of mine is having a baby so I need to start thinking about that................................................................................

Another bubba gift for a friend.

My friend is expecting her second baby very soon, a wee little boy this time! I have made her a rib shoaker and an Eden's Adam singlet, 2 patterns I have been wanting to try for a while. Both patterns I know I will do again, they can be found on Ravelry. Hope she likes them!

Hand towel and cloth.

I made this set for my Nanna's christmas present. Its is made with Debbie Bliss DK cotton which was lovely to work with. The pattern Mitred hanging towel. was easy and I am very pleased with the result. I had a cute little white star button which was perfect and enough cotton left over to make a crochet dishcloth.
In other craft news I have cast on some more socks for Jay, still working on my FLS, itching to cast on another NORO scarf and *ahem* still need to felt my knitted basket.
