Ripple socks for Mum's Birthday

I finally used my delicious Yarn Cafe sock club Yarn and made my mum some ripple socks for her birthday (which ended up being a little late!). The yarn was gorgeous to work with and mum is happy with them, though I am sure people must get sick of getting woolly pressies from me!

Between projects

Between projects I have pulled out the hook for a little crochet and made some dishcloths. Since I made some dishcloths a couple of years ago we haven't used anything else. They are great for doing the dishes and wash well for alot of use.

I have cast on some socks for Laura to keep my hand busy. The wintery weather has hit and the girls love wooly socks for keeping their toes warm.

Lastly a picture from yesterday of Jay and I at one of our favourite local spots. Easy to see why we live here isn't it?

Imogens Socks

I finished off Immy's socks, BUT....... ran out of yarn with the toe for the 2nd sock! Ggrr! I am too lazy to go back and frog the 1st to make them slightly shorter, or, to say do the rib and toe in a solid. I just wish I had done that in the fiirst place, LOL! I used a similar yarn and imogen is wearing them quite hapily with toasty toes.

I have to felt my basket but keep procrastinating on that. I can't make up my mind on my next project. I am also on a ban from buying yarn while we try to sort out finances so have to work with my stash.................................. So think I will do a couple of dishcloths while I make up my mind.

Chickens

We are the proud owners of 6 lovely little chicks. Introducing Sophie, Ginger, Cyndy, Alice, Betty and Tallulah! The girls are absolutely loving them. Jay has made them a home out the back for when they are bigger. We are keeping them inside, where its nice and warm for the time being.

a-tisket a-tasket

a-tisket a-tasket A mothers day basket. I made this for my mum for mothers day, I liked it so much I have made one for us too. I just need to felt it. I have made 1 sock for Imogen and have just cast on the 2nd sock! I am enjoying my little break from work!

A photo Jay took out the back! So pretty! I have been busy working on some Steiner toys again lately. I will take a photo of them in the next couple of days. I have holidays coming up, 4 weeks off, I have lots of crafting and reading in mind as well as a trip down to the Blue Mountains to see dad and maybe a camping weekend. I have been enjoying reading numerous beautiful blogs out there and have decided its time to incorporate some of our family adventures and the beautiful things around us into my blog. Thanks for all the inspiring blogs out there!
